Situations We Treat As Emergencies

Active roof leaks

Water coming through ceilings or down walls. We track the source, stop the ingress and make the roof watertight.

Storm damage

Lifted tiles, displaced ridge lines and damaged flashing after high winds. Made safe and repaired the same day where possible.

Missing or slipped tiles

A gap in your covering is an open door for the next rain shower. We replace broken tiles fast and check for underlying damage.

Unsecured roofs

Loose ridge tiles, flapping lead or a covering at risk of failing completely. We make it safe before anything drops.

Overflowing gutters

Water sheeting down walls because a gutter or downpipe is blocked. Cleared before it rots the fascia or gets into the brickwork.

Chimney and flashing failures

Failed lead work around a chimney or valley — a very common source of persistent leaks that appear well inside the house.

What To Do Right Now

While you wait for us to arrive, these steps limit the damage and keep you safe.

  • Move furniture, electronics and valuables away from the leak
  • Place buckets and towels down to catch and contain water
  • Turn off the power at the consumer unit if water is near electrics
  • Photograph the damage as it happens — your insurer will want it
  • Never climb onto a wet or storm-damaged roof yourself

Our emergency line

Someone answers 24 hours a day, seven days a week — including evenings, weekends and bank holidays. Tell us the postcode and what's happening, and we'll tell you straight away what we can do and when.

Emergency Roofing Questions

How quickly can you attend an emergency?
We aim to attend genuine emergencies across Medway the same day. Storms tend to generate a lot of calls at once, so we prioritise by risk — anything letting water into a property or leaving a roof unsafe goes first.
Do you charge more for emergency call-outs?
There's no inflated 'emergency premium'. You'll be told the cost of making your property safe before we start, and the permanent repair is quoted separately at our standard rate once we can see the full extent of the damage.
What should I do while I wait for you?
Move valuables and furniture away from the leak, put buckets down and place a sheet or towel on the floor. Don't go up on the roof yourself — wet roofs are extremely dangerous. If water is near electrics, turn the power off at the consumer unit.
Will my insurance cover emergency roof repairs?
Most household policies cover storm and accidental damage to the roof, including reasonable emergency works to prevent further damage. We provide photographic evidence and a written summary you can submit with a claim.
Can you tarp a roof overnight?
Yes. Where a permanent repair can't be completed immediately — often because of ongoing bad weather — we make the roof watertight with a temporary covering and return to complete the work properly.
