How We Handle Gutter Installation

Undersized or badly aligned gutters are the single most common cause of damp walls, rotted fascias and water ingress at the roof edge. Getting the capacity and the falls right matters more than the material you choose.

We install seamless uPVC for a clean, cost-effective modern finish, aluminium where strength and colour options matter, and cast iron for period properties where the original detailing needs to be matched. Every run is set to correct falls, securely bracketed, and connected to downpipes sized for the roof area it serves.

Gutter Installation — Common Questions

What size gutter do I need?
It depends on the roof area feeding each run and your local rainfall. Standard 112mm half-round suits most Kent homes, but large roof areas and long runs often need 125mm or a deepflow profile.
Should I choose uPVC or cast iron?
uPVC is the practical choice for most homes — lighter, cheaper and low maintenance. Cast iron suits period properties and lasts decades, but costs significantly more and requires painting.
Do you install leaf guards?
Yes. On properties near mature trees we strongly recommend them — they dramatically reduce how often gutters need clearing and prevent blockages during heavy leaf fall.
